Modern Law’s Family Law Internship Program Offers Hands-On Experience for Law Students

At Modern Law, we believe in providing exceptional service and support to our clients, and we know that our success is due in large part to the dedicated and talented individuals on our team. That’s why we are excited to announce our upcoming family law internship program, which offers hands-on experience in different aspects of family law cases.
Our 9-10 week paid internship program is designed to provide law students with valuable experience in family law, from client onboarding to litigation and everything in between. Our goal is to help Arizona families navigate complex family law matters with confidence, and we believe that our internship program is an excellent opportunity for law students to gain valuable experience in this field.
During the internship, participants will have the opportunity to work directly with clients, family law legal teams, and mentor under our fearless leader, Billie Tarascio. They will be required to meet a billable goal consistent with 10 hours per week throughout the duration of the internship, achieved through working on assigned tasks and actively participating in family law matters.
The program will kick off with an orientation and onboarding week, where participants will learn about our systems and procedures, as well as the Modern Law team. They will also attend company meetings and CLE/lunch and learn sessions to learn more about family law topics.
Throughout the internship, participants will gain hands-on experience in family law, including attending weekly group mentorship meetings with Billie Tarascio, obtaining their Rule 39 certification, and working on various assignments, including drafting initial petition documents, conducting case evaluations, and reviewing incoming discovery. They will also have the opportunity to attend company meetings and CLE/lunch and learn sessions every first and third Friday of each month.
Our internship program is designed to provide valuable experience in the family law field while contributing to the success of the firm’s operations. We believe that offering internships is an important way to support the development of future legal professionals and to give back to the community.
If you know a law student who may be interested in participating in our internship program, we encourage you to share this information with them. We are excited to be able to offer this opportunity and look forward to welcoming motivated and dedicated law students to our team.
