Rachael Collier

Rachael is equipped with a passion for connecting with clients on a personal level while tackling complex legal issues. She first discovered her passion for family law during her 3L year in law school, where she represented indigent clients under SJC Rule 3:03. Her dedication to helping those in need continued as she worked as a family law clerk in Colorado before ultimately transferring to Arizona in December 2022.

What Rachael loves most about working in family law is the opportunity to connect with her clients on a deeper level, while still being challenged by the intricate legal issues that arise in each case. She believes that empathy and strategic thinking are key to achieving the best possible outcome for her clients.

When Rachael is not working, she enjoys spending time with her friends, family, and pets. She has a soft spot for her dog Louie and cats Prada, and Penelope. Rachael also loves to watch NHL games, specifically the Minnesota Wild, and is an avid hiker. She is excited to explore all that Arizona has to offer and is known to be quite competitive in a game of pickleball. Rachael grew up in Esko, a small town in Minnesota, where she developed a strong work ethic and a deep sense of community.

What it's like to work with Rachael

Rachael goes deep with her clients. Her strategy first and foremost is to peel back the layers of what is on the surface to understand the unique dynamics of the family and client she is working with. Understanding the reason behind the client’s goals and requests allows Rachael to find meaningful and creative solutions for clients. Rachael takes an empathetic but strategic approach to every situation, analyzing each case practically and holistically. She also has a superpower for de-escalating intense conflict especially when that conflict is coming from opposing counsel. Rachael consistently has the highest client satisfaction scores of anyone in the firm. Her communication is top notch and she stands by her clients no matter what happens in the case.

If you could create a new law, what would it be and why?

Only one? In Family Law specifically, I would like for the Court to grant additional time for hearings if reasonably requested by either party.
