Modern Law was founded in 2010 by attorney Billie Tarascio in Mesa, Arizona. The inspiration? A deeply personal one. After witnessing the emotional and financial toll of her own parents’ divorce, Billie saw how inaccessible and intimidating the legal system could be. She set out to change that.
What started as a solo practice has grown into one of Arizona’s leading family law firms, with a clear mission to provide affordable, compassionate, and effective legal support to families going through change.
Over the years, we’ve expanded beyond the East Valley, opening offices across the state. Our services have evolved too, from courtroom representation to tech-powered tools, coaching, mediation, and online legal education. But our purpose hasn’t changed: we help people move forward.
