Kathleen Gilbertson

Attorney Kathleen Gilbertson is a recent addition to Modern Law, bringing with her years of solid legal experience, understanding, compassion, and a spirit that’s ready to help others.

A native of Texarkansas – which straddles both Texas and Arkansas, Kathleen suffered from an unhappy and difficult childhood. “It was one of the many things that led me to law,” she says.

She found her way to helping preserve and protect families after going to the William H. Bowen School of Law in Little Rock, Arkansas. She’s been practicing for more than 26 years.

Her professional ‘superpower’ is her strong skills in research and writing, which help create a solid basis for each case.

In spite of surviving those difficult early years, she more recently suffered her biggest challenge when found herself in the midst of Stage IV cancer – with a fatal prognosis. That experience left her with an entirely new perspective. It “changed my entire lifestyle and outlook on life,” she says.

Since then, she’s been “4 1/2 years cancer free and counting. The most useful tools were my positive attitude, drive to educate myself and bring about change.”

She credits the love and support of her family as one of the biggest keys to her continued health.
