Elizabeth Brooks

The essence of Elizabeth Brooks can be summed up as follows:

  • Passionate
  • Driven
  • Capable
  • Focused

Elizabeth Brooks is one of those rare individuals who knows exactly what they were meant to do and never waivers in that commitment. When Elizabeth was 12 years old, she decided to become a family law attorney. She mapped out her path and has spent almost 20 years working toward that goal.

Based on her childhood experience, Elizabeth was drawn toward the complexity and trauma of family dynamics in transition and the intersection of the law. As one of five children, her parent’s divorce had a profound effect on her life and decisions. She was born to be an advocate, an academic, an attorney.

Background and Experience

Elizabeth designed her law school experience to support her career goals. She became a trained mediator and went on to actively help facilitate mediations in the Justice Court System. Elizabeth also worked in law school in the family court for a family law judge. She received both law school credit and invaluable knowledge of the system, the judges, and the attorneys she watched litigate family law cases. She also took advantage of a new rule allowing law students to take the bar exam prior to graduation, which allowed her to jump start her career to begin practicing law sooner.

After law school, Elizabeth went on to work at the ASU Law Group where she practiced criminal, civil, and family law. After completing her “residency” at ASU law, she looked for a family law firm that shared her values, dedication, and philosophy of supporting family law clients in transition and a firm that would use technology for efficient outcomes. She found Modern Law.

Elizabeth’s superpower is that her cases are not just cases, she cares deeply about her clients and helping them through what she knows to be the most difficult time in their lives.
